Welcome to Tennis Players Network

November 2007 Newsletter

Can Georgia tennis players know more about you?

Are the tennis players in Georgia aware of all you have to offer them? My goal at TPN is to make sure tennis in Georgia continues to grow and that the players are aware of all you have to offer them to make them the player they dream to become.

We offer you a place on our web site to let the players know about your club and store. Your basic information is there now, for free. Please check out your club or store on our site and make sure we have the correct information. TennisPlayersNetwork.com Click on CLUB or STORE and type in your name.  You have the option available to put as much information there as you would like. Do you have a web site? I can put that information on your page so that players can come directly to your site easily.

What ever your goals are for 2008, I can and want to help spread that to the players that you don’t have right now. Tennis Players Network’s list of players has grown to over 6100 in the past 5 months and they email me daily for information on round robins and clinics and teams that need more players…

We sincerely hope to help you achieve your goals for 2008, what ever they are – the players are hungry and eager to take their game to a higher level, in style!

One more thing – if you have a holiday special that the players should know about, pass it along and I will spread the word! Email or call me, I am easy to get a hold of!

Mental Toughness ~ Rituals

Troy Macisak Elite Fitness

Every player must have rituals to compete on the court. Without rituals you can’t perform at your very best. The first ritual is X-strategy. Place an X on all of your racquets in the strings. The X signifies the end and reminds you to move on to the next point. Look to the X at the end of every point. The X will keep your eyes from wondering around the court and outside of it. The X not only helps you forget the past point but also allows you to check your condition mentally and physically.

GET TO KNOW A PRO Campaign

Tennis Players around Atlanta send me emails every day asking if I know a pro that would coach their ALTA or USTA team.  They are in neighborhoods and clubs.  There are websites available already for their benefit and yours but for some reason they keep asking the same question.

Be the Best You Can Be

www.yogabound.com is a web site I found recently. I was so intrigued that I contacted the owner and guess what – she is a tennis player!

Deb impressed me so much and we talked for quite awhile. She will soon begin to educate all of us on our bodies related to tennis, but there is so much more she has to offer.

We are discussing a retreat to include hours of tennis, meditation, yoga and massage for you all. She could come to Georgia or we can plan retreats to Florida where she is located. If you check out her web site, you will see that she offers much more for our benefit as tennis players!

How many of you would like to take your team or members of your team for a two-day tennis/yoga retreat to Florida? I knew you would be excited – I sure am.

Stay tuned…

Practice with a Purpose

There are so many different elements that affect your tennis game;  it's something you can work on your entire life. One thing that many recreational and competitive players need to improve is the quality of your practices and workouts. It's so easy to walk onto the court and exchange groundstrokes with your hitting partner, not really thinking  of working on any particular aspect of your game. If you instead practice with a purpose, you'll find it has a significant impact on  your ability to raise the level of your game when it counts, in a real  match.
