Welcome to Tennis Players Network

March 2008 Newsletter

Spring tennis is so welcoming, isn’t it?

We would need our heads examined if we did not love tennis this time of year! Smiles abounding! There is so much going on that I don’t know where to start exactly. The stores are having incredible sales – don’t miss them! For kids – get to ‘I Play Tennis’; Dan Kester has so much for them and at 20% off for a limited time. Cobb County is adding all their events to our Events Calendar so we hope you appreciate that addition.

I hope you are using our maps to your tennis matches that are away – We will be sending out a list of local tennis camps so you can get your summer plans organized. Many of our local tennis clubs have great summer programs, so look for an email in the coming week. Oh yea – please take a minute and fill out our surveys listed below. It is so helpful knowing what is important to you – not just what we think is important to you!

Oh yea, I almost forgot – many tennis players are asking for a page on the web site where they can sell their tennis ‘things’ to one another. If this interests you – will you please let me know? This could be done if you really want it! People have also asked for a networking program so they can promote their businesses to other tennis players. I need to know if you REALLY are interested in such a thing! (it may be a good idea actually)

Talk to you all soon I hope – play some fun, smart tennis and compliment your partner.

Mental Toughness

Playing “the Mental game!”

Dr. Robert Soloway Ph.D.

I have had the opportunity in the past few years to watch many high-level junior and college tennis players. One might assume that most of these tennis players are simply playing a “lesser” version of the same game that the professionals are playing, and with more training and practice these players will grow into the same game as the pros.
